EXP. COMPENSATION

Use exposure compensation when
photographing very bright, very dark, or high-
contrast subjects.
Choose positive (+) values
to increase exposure
Choose negative (–) values
to reduce exposure
Note
At settings other than ±0, a l icon is displayed in the monitor. Exposure compensation is not reset when the
camera is turned off ; to restore normal exposure control, choose a value of ±0.
Choosing an Exposure Compensation Value
• Backlit subjects: choose
values from +

• Highly refl ective subjects
or very bright scenes (e.g.,
