Basic Setup

A language-selection dialog is displayed the first time the camera is turned on. Set up the camera as
described below (for information on resetting the clock or changing languages, see page 71).

Choose a language.
1.1 Press the selector up or down
to highlight a language.
1.2 Press MENU/OK.

2.1 Press the selector left or right to
highlight the year, month, day,
hour, or minute and press up
or down to change. To change the order
in which the year, month, and day are
displayed, highlight the date format and
press the selector up or down.
2.2 Press MENU/OK.
A Note
Go to the setup menu if you try to set the language
and date again (pg. 71).

Tip: The Camera Clock
If the battery is removed for an extended
period, e DATE/TIME will be cleared and the
language-selection dialog will be displayed
when the camera is turned on. Set up the
camera again. If the battery has been left in the
camera for about 2 hours or more, the battery
can be removed for about 24 hours without
resetting the clock.
