suppresses both the carrier and modulating frequencies.

range-- that is, if you measure the amplitude of the sound
from 100 to 200 Hz, that segment of the frequency
spectrum will contain the same energy as a segment from
5000 to 5100 Hz or even 20,000 to 20,100 Hz. Compared
