300 WATT CONSTANT VOLTAGE STEP UP TRANSFORMER
The Beast is a high power, full frequency response
step up autotransformer designed to allow the use of
standard amplifiers with a 70 volt constant voltage
distribution system. Taps are also available for use
with 25 and 100 volt systems
.
It has a power handing capability of 300 watts RMS
with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±1 dB.
Use two units for stereo.
Note: Step down transformers, such as the Audioplex
70v10 need to be used at each speaker location.

INPUT CONNECTIONS

Find the power rating of your amp in the table at
right Use the amplifier's 8 ohm rating. Connect
the amplifier output to the terminals listed in the
next column of the table 1.
For example, an amp rated at 180 watts into 8
ohms should be connected to terminals 1 and 4.

OUTPUT CONNECTIONS

The 70 volt distribution system is connected to terminals 1 and 6 of The Beast
(Use terminals 1 and 3 for 25 volt systems, terminals 1 and 7 for 100 volt systems).
To prevent overloading the amplifier, add up the wattage of all connected speakers. If the
wattage is greater than the capability of the amp, remove some of the speakers or adjust the
transformer taps at the speakers to reduce the load.
Exercise EXTREME CAUTION when using this device. Dangerously high voltages can be
produced if improperly installed causing equipment damage or personal injury. If you are
