This 1997 edition marks the twenty- fourth year of publication of Intrave- nous Medications . Annual revisions meet the tremendous need for clear, concise, complete, and accurate information on newly released and existing IV drugs. Introduction Your new BOOKMAN book card is a powerful, portable electronic reference that you can use anywhere. Simply in- stall it into your BOOKMAN and you’re ready to go. Using this book, you can search for detailed monographs by generic and trade name drugs, by categories of drugs, and even by words appearing in monographs. -

Looking up Drugs You can find drug monographs by se- lecting drugs from the Drugs menu. The Drugs menu lists generic and trade drug names, as well as Important IV Therapy Facts and other introduc- tory material, relevant publications, and the appendices. -

Finding Drugs by Category You can also find drug monographs by using the Categories menu. The Catego- ries menu lists drugs by class. 1. Press CLEAR 2. Press to highlight the Categories menu. 3. Start typing a category. For ex- ample, type inotropic agents. -
