When the stopwatch is in digital mode, the white digital numbers in the centre
>
of the screen return to 00:00:00 to immediately begin measuring the next lap
time. The first lap time is shown at the upper right.
5. Repeat Step 4 as necessary to continue measuring lap times.
The red second hand in the large analogue clock face (when the stopwatch is
>
running in analogue mode) and the white digital numbers in the centre of the
screen (when the stopwatch is running in digital mode) returns to their
respective starting positions each time Step 4 is repeated and measurement
for the next lap time begins. In addition, each lap's measurement result will be
added to the display at the upper right.
6. Press either the [Stopwatch] key on the left side of the phone, or the [ 4 ]
key, to stop measuring time.
7. To save the measured results, select Save. To start measuring time
again, press [Stopwatch] key on the left side of the phone (or the [ 4 ]
key). To reset the counter, press the [Concierge] key on the right side of
the phone (or press the [ 6 ] key).
When you select Save, a field to enter a name appears. After selecting Edit,

enter a name for the results to be saved, and then select OK » Save.
Tip: When measuring split or lap times in analogue mode, the red
second hand in the large clock face in the centre of the screen
measures seconds. The smaller analogue clock at the lower left
measures minutes.
The small analogue clock at the lower right, however, bears no
connection to the measurement of split or lap times. Even when the
stopwatch is running, the small analogue clock at the lower right
indicates the current time's seconds. The hour and minute hand for
the current time are displayed on the large analogue clock face as
the white hands on that face.
Checking measurement results
Follow the steps below to check or delete split times or lap times recorded
so far.
1. From the Home screen, either press the [Stopwatch] key on the left side
of the phone, or select Menu » Tools » Stopwatch.
2. Select any of the following as necessary:
To review the last measurement results (the latest results), select Options »
>
Show last.
To display a series of past results as a list and then to select results to review
>
from that list, select Options » View times.
To delete past measurement results one by one, or to delete a series of
>
results all at once, select Options » Delete times.
Ending the stopwatch
To stop measuring time and return to the Home screen, select Exit (right
[Selection] key) or the [End] key when the stopwatch is displayed.
When closing the stopwatch, note that unless you reset the counter by
pressing the [Concierge] key on the right side of the phone (or the [ 6 ] key)
either in Step 7 of "Split timing" (page 44) or in Step 7 of "Lap timing" (page
45), the screen counter will not be automatically reset, even if you end the
application and return to the Home screen.
In this case, the stopwatch information is retained and will be displayed the
next time the stopwatch is activated.
