Check memory status

You can check your Vertu phone's memory to see how much
information is stored and how much free space is available.
To check the memory status:
1. From the stand-by display, press
.

2. Scroll to either
P h o n e
or
If
is selected the phone's contact free memory and used
P h o n e
memory is displayed as a percentage of the available memory
If
is selected the absolute number of free contacts and
S I M c a r d
contacts in use for the SIM card is displayed.
3. Press
B a c k
to exit the screen.
SIM card memory capacity is defined by your SIM card, not by
your Vertu phone. For more information contact your service
provider.
Adding contacts
To add a contact:
1. From the stand-by display, press
.

2. Use the N UM BE R keys to enter the contact's first name. Scroll down
to the next field.
3. Use the N UMBE R keys to enter the contact's last name. Scroll down
to the next field.
4. Use the N U MB ER keys to enter the mobile phone number. Scroll
down to the next field.
5. Use the N U MB ER keys to enter the home phone number. Scroll
down to the next field.
6. Use the N U MB ER keys to enter the email address. Scroll down to the
next field.
7. Scroll right or left to open the image gallery and select an image to
associate with this contact.
8. Select
to confirm your entry, or press
S a v e
A message confirms which memory you have saved the contact
details to.
Accessing contacts
There are several ways to access a contact, giving you flexibility to
use your Vertu phone in the way that suits you best.
A: Follow menupath
1. From the stand-by display, press
2. Key in the first letter of the contact name.
3. The first name starting with that letter is highlighted.
4. Scroll to the desired name.

If your contacts is one of the most used functions on your phone,

The following instructions use Method A to access your contact

To delete a contact:
1. Select your contact name as in "Accessing contacts".

to confirm deletion.
A message confirms which contact you have deleted.
Contact number and text types
The first number added to a contact is automatically set as the
default number. When you select a contact to call or send a message
to, this default number is always used.
You can store different numbers for each contact from the following
types:
General

You can also store different text items from the following types:

Formal name
>
A contact can have duplicate number and text types, for example
two mobile numbers or two e-mail addresses.
