HEXBU1 Expanded Processor Cabinet Labels
HEXBU1 Expanded Processor Cabinet Labels
Installing an HEXBU1 processor card allows the Strata CIX1200 system to expand beyond seven
cabinets. CIX670/1200 Base Cabinets produced before April 2008 have a caution label with a notice
that the system may have up to seven power cords. This label must be covered by a new, twelve
power cord, caution label. Each CIX670 and CIX1200 Expansion cabinet, produced before April 2008,
has a Cabinet Number label to identify the cabinet number as 2 ~ 7 for the specific installation,
cabinets 8 ~ 12 will require a new label.
The HEXBU1 processor card box, in addition to the processor, includes:
A new, Base cabinet caution label
Five new cabinet number labels with cabinet numbers 2 ~ 12.
Apply the new labels as shown below.
Caution Label for the Base Cabinet
1. Remove the new caution label from the HEXBU1 box.
2. Locate the caution label on the
Base Cabinet, refer to the
figure.
3. If the caution label is the old
(seven power cords) type apply
the new (twelve power cords)
caution label over the old label,
covering the old label.
Cabinet Number Labels
for Expansion Cabinets
8 ~ 12
Expansion cabinets produced prior to April 2008, have cabinet number labels with spaces for cabinets
number 2 through 7. The labels are located inside the floor/wall mount cabinets to the left side of the
card slots. Rackmount cabinet number labels are located on the inside of the cabinet on the right side
of the base. The new cabinet number labels are for expansion cabinets 8 through 12.
1. On each expansion cabinet (8
~12) locate the cabinet number
label.
2. If the label is the old style, place a
new label over the old label.
3. Fill-in the appropriate information
on the new label.
