ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
"J" HANDLE ASSEMBLY
This handle design is required to provide a barrier
between the operator and the cutting head when a metal
blade is fitted to the machine. The J-Handle can be posi-
tioned to suit the operator. Figure 1A shows the recom-
mended position when using a blade.
1.
To install handle onto unit, you will need the fol-
lowing components from your user kit: "J" handle
(A), fixing holder (B), clamps (C) and screws (D).

2.
Install the fixing holder (B) onto the upper shaft of
the trimmer around 10 to 15 cm from the end of the
trigger handle. Place the clamp (E) over the shaft and
secure with the two screws (E). Be sure to use the
larger clamp which matches the 25mm shaft diam-
eter.
3.
Install the handle (A) on the fixing holder and secure
with the remaining (smaller) clamp (D) and two
screws (E).
INSTALLING ATTACHMENT
NOTE: To make installing or removing attachments easier,
place the unit on the ground or on a work bench.
1.
Turn the knob (A) counterclockwise to loosen (Fig. 2A).
2.
While firmly holding the attachment (B), push it
straight into the Quick-Change coupling (C) until the
release button (D) appears in the primary hole (E)
(Fig. 2B)
3.
Turn the knob (A) clockwise to tighten. (Fig. 2C)
All attachments are designed to be used in the primary
hole unless otherwise indicated in the specific attach-
ments operators manual. If the incorrect hole is used, it
could result in injury, or damage to the unit.

LINEHEAD INSTALLATION
1.
Install gear collar (A) ensuring the collar spacer (B) is
in place (Fig. 4A).
2.
Push spindle lock button in the side of the gearbox
housing so the lock pin is in the notch on the gear
collar (Fig. 4B).
