Notes regarding the connection of your DVI
monitor to the HDMI output jack
This product has been tested and verified to be in compliance with the HDMI Compliance requirements.
In principle, an HDMI video stream is compatible with a DVI monitor. Therefore, you can connect them using an
HDMI ➔ DVI conversion cable.
However, some DVI monitors may not display video images. In addition, some functions of this unit may be limited.
• If the monitor does not display video images:
The connected DVI monitor may not be compatible with HDCP.
This unit features HDCP (copyright protection technology). Check the Instruction Manual for the monitor.
• If you cannot select the desired resolution:
You can select the image resolution based on the information stored in the DVI device. Refer to the Instruction
Manual for information on selecting the resolution. (The section "Setting the HDMI Output Resolution")
The information stored in the DVI device may be insufficient. In this case, you can set the resolution manually, as
described below:
Setting Fixed Output mode
Use the buttons on the main unit.
1. Turn on the power to the unit.
2. Press the [RESOLUTION] button on the remote
controller for five seconds.
3. Press the [RESOLUTION] button repeatedly to
select the desired resolution.

720 x 480p
4:3 60Hz
720 x 480p 16:9 60Hz
1280x 720p 16:9 60Hz
1920x1080i 16:9 60Hz
720x 576p
4:3 50Hz
720x 576p 16:9 50Hz

1920x1080i 16:9 50Hz
Note:
• In this mode, you can select resolutions that are not supported by the connected monitor.
• If the image is distorted, select a resolution that will cause the image to be output correctly.
This setting is cancelled if you repeat the procedure described above. In this case, the message "Resolution Normal
Mode." scrolls on the display of the unit.
The setting is also cancelled if you initialize the unit's settings. Refer to the Instruction Manual for information on
initializing the unit. (The section "Restoring the Default Settings")
