Using the refrigerator efficiently
Storing food in the MasterFresh
drawers
The optimum humidity level can be set
for the MasterFresh drawers,
depending on the types of food being
stored in each drawer.
^ Touch the sensor for the MasterFresh
drawer you wish to use so that it is
highlighted in yellow.
The sensors for the types of food you
wish to store now appear:
Foods that require high humidity
include:
– Vegetables and fruit
Foods that require a dry atmosphere
include:
– Meat, fish and diary products
^ Touch the sensor for the type of food
that you wish to store in the
MasterFresh drawer selected.
You cannot store foods that like high
humidity in the same drawer as foods
that prefer a dry atmosphere. However,
you can store several foods from the
same humidity/dry group at the same
time.

^ You can deselect the type of food by
touching the relevant sensor again.
Depending on your selection, the
MasterFresh drawer will achieve the
optimum humidity level for the food you
are storing.
The temperature in the MasterFresh
zone is fixed at 1.5°C.
Foods that prefer a higher humidity
include:
– Freshly picked vegetables, lettuce,
herbs, mushrooms, cabbages and
fruit.
Please take into account that high
humidity is only achieved and effective
if the food is stored unwrapped or
loosely wrapped.
Foods that prefer a dry atmosphere
include:
– fresh fish, shellfish, meat, poultry,
sausages, dairy products and
specialty salads.
Please note that foods rich in protein
deteriorate faster than others.
Shellfish, for example, deteriorates
faster than fish, and fish deteriorates
faster than meat.
