5. The PC Card's properties screen will appear. Click OK to complete the installation
process. Please refer to the "Advanced Setup" section of the Actiontec Wireless-
Ready Home Gateway User's Manual to configure the wireless settings as well as
page 21 of this User Manual.

6. If you have configured your Home Gateway or Access Point with any Encryption
capabilities then complete the following screen accordingly. Otherwise, click Finish
to complete the installation process.

Installing the Actiontec Wireless PC Card
Configuring the Actiontec PC Card
After you have installed the software for the Actiontec PC Card, an Icon will appear in
your Task Bar on the lower right hand side on your Desktop. You will not be automat-
ically connected to any Computer, Gateway or Access Point. Follow these steps to con-
figure your Actiontec PC Card.

1. Right click on the Actiontec PC Card Status Icon. A list will appear, as shown in
the picture below. Make sure that there is a black dot next to the Turn Wireless
Radio On. If the dot is not present then simply select it. Then select the Advanced
Configuration... selection from the given list.
2. The PC Card's Properties screen will appear. Under the "Configuration" tab the
SSID value should be the same as the ESSID value of your Home Gateway or
Access Point. For example, if you have configured your Home Gateway or Access
Point's ESSID value to "ACTIONTEC" then this same value needs to be typed into
the SSID field in the following screen.
