To connect to a G61 with video switching in the DVD player (Type 3)
The G96 DVD player can be used in combination with a Meridian
digital surround controller, such as the G61, to create a superb
audio/video system, using the video switching and format
conversion provided by the DVD player to handle the video, and
the audio switching provided by the G61 to handle the analogue
and digital audio.
• Connect the video sources to the COMPOSITE IN, S-VIDEO IN,
and COMPONENT IN sockets on the DVD player.

• Connect the audio sources to the DIGITAL IN and ANALOGUE IN
sockets on the G61.
• Connect the appropriate output from the DVD player to your
display device.
• Connect together the COMMS sockets of the DVD player and
G61 using the Comms lead provided.
• Configure the DVD player to Type 3; see Resetting the DVD
player , page 17.
