This chapter explains how to use the Hi-Fi Personal Handset to control your Linn
preamplifier, allowing you to select sources, change the volume, and switch it to standby.
It also explains how you can configure the Hi-Fi Personal Handset to control a second
amplifier by learning the commands from another infra-red remote control handset.

Selecting the amplifier

The AMP handset control key allows you to select which amplifier the amplifier
control keys will operate.
To select the amplifier
Press the AMP handset control key to switch between amplifiers.
The MACRO indicator will flash once to indicate that the Linn amplifier commands
have been selected, or twice to indicate that the program commands for the
second amplifier have been selected.

Operating the amplifier

To operate the selected amplifier
Press one of the volume control keys or amplifier control keys to operate the
selected amplifier.
For example, to send the listen command:
Press the LISTEN
To switch the amplifier to standby
Press the STANDBY
