Setting individual channel levels

In order to balance the sound from all the speakers in
your system you can adjust the relative level of each
speaker. Adjust so that the level of each speaker is
similar from your listening position.
While setting the channel levels, you can either listen to
a multichannel source (such as a DVD), or use the built-
in test tone feature.
Setting the channel levels using the test tone
The test tone feature outputs a constant noise tone from
each speaker, giving you a good reference to adjust the
levels.
1
Press TEST TONE.
The test tone starts sounding from the left front speaker
and continues around each speaker in turn.
2
While the test tone is sounding, use the
(cursor left/right) buttons to adjust the level of that
speaker.
You can adjust each speaker from –10 (quieter) to +10
(louder).
• You can also use the front panel < and > buttons,
although it's usually best to make this setting from
your listening position using the remote.
3
When you're done, press ENTER to exit.
• Pressing any button (except VOLUME +/–) will also
exit.
