SeLect when connected to an amp_itier
equipped with a Dolby Digital, DTS,
MPEGt

in the bitstream format when you play a
DVD video disc recorded in the Dolby
Digital, DTS, MPEG1 or MPEG2
recording system.
Analog 2ch:
Select when connected to a TV or
stereo system via the analog audio

Select when connected to a 2 channel
digital stereo amplifier. [_
The player outputs sounds in the PCM
2ch format when you play a DVD video
disc recorded on the Dolby Digital,

DVD video discs equipped with the parental lock
1unction are rated according to their content.The
contents allowed by a parental lock level and the way
a D'v'D video disc can be controlled may vary from
disc to disc. For example, if the disc allowed you
could edit out violent scenes unsuitable tor children
and replace them with more suitable scenes, or lock
out playback of the disc altogether.
• DVD video discs may or may not respond
to the
parental
lock settings.
This is not a defect in the player.
Make sure this function
works
with your DVD video
discs.
To set the parental
level
1) Press ENTER multiple time and select the
parental
level to set.
Level 8: Adult
Level 7:NC-17
Level 6: R
Level 5: PG-R
Level 4:PG-t3
Level 3: PG
Level 2: G
Level 1 : Kid Safe
2) Press • / • and select Password.
3) Press the number buttons to create a personal
5-digit security
code.
4) Press ENTER.
_;_appears when the password is locked.
,,_ appears when the lock is cancelled.
To change the parental lock level
Follow steps 2) - 4).
