Adjusting
the picture
preferences
You can select your desired picture type from three preset picture
modes: Normal, Theater, and Memory.
To select the picture preferences:
1. Press MENU,
then press • or • to highlight the
PREFERENCES
menu.
2. Press • or • to highlight PICTURE
PREFERENCES.
3. Press • or • to highlight the mode you want.
The table below describes the effects of the different preferences.

Watching
video input
You can use the TV/VIDEO
button on the remote control or the
ANT/VIDEO
button on the TV to view a signal coming from other
devices, such as VCRs or video disc players that may be connected
to
your T_ (See "Connecting
your TV" on page 2.)
Displaying
on-screen
information
Press RECALL to display the following on-screen information:
• Antenna
mode (when in TV mode)
• Channel
number or VIDEO
mode selected
• Channel label (if preset)
• Stereo or SAP (second audio program) audio status
Setting the off-timer
You can set the TV so it turns offautomatically.
To set the off-timer:
1. Press MENU,
then press • or • to select the SET UP menu.
2. Press • or • to select the OFF TIMER.
3. Press • or • to select the offtime
(10-180 minutes,
in 10-minute
increments).
4. Press EXIT to exit the menu.
To cancel the off-timer:
Press POWER
twice, once to turn the TV off, and once to turn it
on again.
Auto
power
off
The TV will automatically
turn itself off after approximately
15
minutes if it is tuned to a vacant channel or if a station completes
its
broadcast for the day and stops broadcasting
on that channel. This
feature, however, does not work in the VIDEO
mode.
