Cable TV Converter Box
CATV Input
With this connection, you can: (1) program unattended recording of more than one unscrambled channel; (2)
view one channel while recording another.
NOTE: • Use the CHANNEL UP/DOWN button to select the channel to be recorded, including Timer
Recording and One Touch Recording.
• You c_nnot record scrambled channels with this connection.
To record one channel while viewing another
1. Select the channel to be recorded with the CHANNEL UP/DOWN button.
2. On the VCR set the VCR/TV selector to "TV."
3. Set the channel selector on the TV to the output channel of the Converter Box.
4. Select the channel to be viewed on the Converter Box.
To play back a tape
1. Set the VCR/TV selector to "VCR."
2. Set the TV channel selector to the output channel of the Converter Box.
3. Set the Converter Box channel selector to the VCR output channel (channel 3 or 4).

Audio Cable*
Stereo VCR to Stereo TV Hookup
*A stereo audio cable (not supplied) is used here to deliver sound to the TV's left and right channels.
The TV must be in Aux or Line input mode.
For any additional adjustments you need to make to your TV, refer to your TV owner's manual.
Stereo VCR to Monaural TV Hookup
*Use the connection described above, but in place of a stereo audio cable, use a Y splitter audio cable (not
supplied). Connect this cable to the VCR's double audio jacks and the TV's single audio jack.
