SELECTING THE SPEAKERS LOCATION

An extremely rigid floor is important for the optimal sonic result of your Micro Metis speakers. Select a
position where the speaker will have the most rigid possible coupling with the floor. Solid coupling is
essential, and if your support is standing on a suspended floor, locate at least two of the floor contacts
above a supporting beam or close to a supporting wall.
In stereo, the ideal location of the speakers in the room has to be found by experiment.
Avoid standing the speakers in the corner of the room and try to set them away from any adjacent wall
by 60cm (2 feet) minimum. The proper listening position is located by 1 to 1.5 times the distance
between the speakers at equal distance from each other. If the room size permits, try separating the
speakers by minimum 3m (10') to provide a large stereo image.
In multi-channel systems, it is recommended to put the speakers as close as possible to the positions
shown in the figure below:

Depending on the room acoustics, the speakers may be standing parallel or slightly tilted toward the
listener.
