    The Metis Wireless subwoofer is never used as a stand-alone speaker. Its most usual configuration is associated to one or more pairs of Metis Wireless speakers in a 2-channel or multi-channel speaker system.

    SUBWOOFER LOCATION & COOLING For optimal sonic result, it is essential that vibrations arising within the Metis Wireless subwoofer are evacuated to ground effectively. Solid coupling with a very rigid floor is an essential component in this process. SPEAKERS PHYSICAL ALIGNMENT To arrive to the listener simultaneously, the waves front created by each speaker section in a system should be aligned to be at an equal distance from the listener position.

    Wireless audio link range: The range of the wireless audio link depends on several factors, such as the amount of WiFi equipment used in proximity of the Metis Wireless subwoofer system, as well as the building materials and the architecture of the room.
  • Page 8 The digital signal is treated with the Proteus technology. The Metis Wireless subwoofer has no active filtering (hardware crossover). The Metis Wireless subwoofer uses a full digital filtering, the crossover is made by software inside the DSP speaker board. Only an official Goldmund representative is able to load and change the configuration file, do not change it by yourself.
  • Page 9 Standard Stereo system: • If you use only one Metis Wireless subwoofer in your existing system, please put the switch on the back panel in the central position. This position is the addition of the right and left channel data.

    RUNNING-IN FOR THE SUBWOOFER The Metis Wireless subwoofer, like any other top quality speaker needs several days playing music before offering the top sonic quality it is built to provide. The few first hours can be very frustrating for a demanding listener.
