1. Slow Playback
1. Press the PLAY button.
2. Press the PAUSE/STILL bUtton.
3. For frame by frame operation, press and release
PLAY button to advance the picture one frame at
a time. Slow playback at 1/120 the speed of stan-
dard playback can be viewed while the PLAY
button is pressed.
4. Press the PAUSE/STILL button to return to
normal playback.

_butt 2. Still picture playback
To freeze the picture, press the PAUSE/STILL
on during PLAY mode.
Notes
1. If noise appears in the center of the still
picture, try moving the noise out of the way
by pressing the PLAY button. The sound is
muted.
2. Still picture returns to normal playback
after about 5 minutes to protect the tape.
3. During still and slow operations, the LP and
SP mode pictures will be distorted.

3. Picture Search
Review or Cue allow playback at about 7 times the normal speed, and can be performedwith quick search. It is very
convenient during search for a particular section on the tape.

• Several static horizontal
noise lines will appear during
picture search. The sound is

When the picture is shifted

search, adjust the TV
horizontal control knob.

search, adjust the TV
vertical control knob.
Note: During picture search operation, the wide noise lines will appear in SP mode picture.
