• [2CH]: You can play the 2 channel

• You cannot change the playback area during
playback.
To change a playback layer when
playing a hybrid Super Audio CD
Some Super Audio CDs consist of an HD layer
and a CD layer. You can change the playback
layer you want to listen to.
• When the Super Audio CD does not have the HD
layen you cannot select the playback layer.

Press (2_ DISPLAY while the system is
in stop mode.
The Control Melm display appears on the
TV screen.
2 Press t,14, to select _ [SUPER
AUDIO CD/CD LAYER], then press @.
• When the current layer is the CD
layer
[SUPER AUDIO CD] appears.
• When the current layer is the HD
layer
[CD] appears.
3 Press @ to change the layer.
• [SUPER AUDIO CD]: You can play the
HD layer.
When the system is playing an HD layer,
"SA-CD" lights up in the front panel
display
• [CD]: You can play the CD layer.
When the system is playing a CD layer,
"CD" lights up in the front panel display.
• Each play mode flmction works only within the
selected layer or playback area.
• When you select a CD layer, you cannot change a
playback area.
• Super Audio CD audio signals arc not output from the
HDMI OUT jack.
(PBC Playback)
With PBC (Playback Control) functions, you
can enjoy simple interactive operations, search
functions, and other such operations.
PBC playback allows you to play a VIDEO CD
interactively by lbllowing the menu on the TV
screen.

Start playing a VIDEO CD with PBC
functions.
The menu for your selection appears.
Select the item number you want using
the number buttons.

Press @.
Follow the instructions in the menu for
interactive operations.
Refer to the operating instructions supplied
with the disc, as the operating procedure
may di{'llzr depending on the VIDEO CD.
To go back to the menu
Press d"_ RETURN.

• Depending on the VIDEO CD, [Press ENTER[ in
Step 3 may appear as [Press SELECT] in the
operating instructions supplied with the disc. In this
case, press [2:>-.
• To play wilhout using the PBC fllnction, press _ /
or the number buttons while the system is in stop
mode to select a track, then press [2> or @. The
system starts playback. You cannot play still pictures
such as a menu. To return to PBC playback, press •
twice, then press [2:>-.
