television shows These captions are usuaffy subtitles for the hearing impaired or lransta_ions into
other languages Aft VCRs record the closed caption signal from lelevision programs, so pre-
recorded vldeo lapes can also deliver closed-cap_ion information Check for the closed cap_ion
symbol (E_]) on the tape's package or your TV prograra-schedute.
