• Keep the tree between you and the chain.
Cut from the side of the tree opposite the
branch you are cutting.

ly hanging limbs.
Undercutting

limbs to fall and pinch the saw

Limit pruning to limbs

Do not cut if
branches
are higher than your shoulder

professional
to do the job.
• Make your first cut 1/3 of the way through the
bottom of the timb
• Next make a 2nd cut all the way through
the limb. Then cut a third overcut
leaving a

RECOMMENDATIONS
The warranty
on this unit does not cover
items that have been subjected
to operator
abuse
or negligence.
To receive
full va}ue
from the warranty,
the operator
must main-
tain unit as instructed in this manual. Various
adjustments
will need to be made periodical-
ly to properly
maintain
your unit.
• Once a year, replace the spark plug, air fi{ter,
and check guide bar and chain for wear A
new spark plug and air filter assures proper
air-fuel m_xture and he_ps your engine run
better and last longer.

NOTE:
It is normal for a small amount of oil
to appear
under the saw after engine stops.
Do not confuse
this with a leaking oil tank.
