Turning On and Off the Camera
To turn on tile camera, press tile power switch. Tile
power-on lamp (green) will light and tile monitor will
turn on (tile power-on lamp turns off when tile
monitor turns on).
To turn off the camera, press tile power switch again.
When the camera is turned off, both the power-on lamp and monitor will turn off.
• Ifthecamera is turned off, hold down the[] button to turn the camera on in
playback mode (_ 32).

[] Power Saving Function (Auto Off)
If no operations are per_rmed _r a while, the monitor will turn off, the camera will enter standby
mode, and the power on lamp will blink If no operations are per_rmed _r another three minutes,
the camera will turn off automatically.
To reactivate the monitor while the power on lamp is blinking, press any of the _llowing buttons:
Power switch, shutter release button, I_ button, [] button or • (_ movie record) button
• Camera enters standby mode in about a minute (default setting) during shooting or playback
mode.
• The time allowed to elapse before the camera enters standby mode can be changed from the
Auto off option (_ 162) in the setup menu ([.]_ 149),
