Sta tion search
Different ty pes of search are ava ila ble:
Manual station search
Stations for which the frequencies are
known can be set a s follows;
Turn the
8 tune knob ;
K
cloc kwise to search forwards or
anticlock wise to search ba ckwards,
until the frequency of the required
station is reached.
The station selected is display ed.
The selected station plays.
Autom atic station sea rch
Press the SEEK wf or SEEKq g
button.
Radio goes to next or previous station.
Seek a nd sca n
Press and hold the SEEK wf or
SEEKq g button for a few seconds.
A beep sounds and the radio goes to
the nex t or previous station, pla ys for a
few seconds, then goes to the following
station in the respective direction.
Press the S EEK w f or S EEKq g
button again to stop the seek a nd
scan.
The current station is displayed.
The current station play s.
The radio only seeks and scans
stations with a strong signa l within the
selected waveband.
Info tainment system
Ra dio Data System (RDS)
RDS is a service provided by the radio
broadca sters which m akes it m uch easier
to find an FM station and helps to ensure
reception is free from interference.
RDS is only possib le on the
FM waveband with FM stations that
broadcast RDS information.
When the radio is tuned to an FM-RDS
station, the station name or call letters
appear on the display.
RDS relies upon receiving specific
information from FM-RDS stations and
only works when the information is
available.
In extremely rare c ases, a radio sta tion
may broadcast incorrect inform ation
tha t causes radio features to work
inc orrectly. Contact the radio station in
question for assistance.
