To select a pile height setting:
Turnoff the cleaner. Selecta pile heightsetting b y
tilting the cleaner back until t hefront wheels are
lifted slightly offthe floor.
Slide the heightadjustmentlever to the correct
setting.

SUGGESTED PILEHEIGHTSETTINGS
You may need to raise the heightto make some jobs
easier (suchas scatter rugsand longerpile height
carpets). S uggested settings a re:
HIGH: shag carpet,longpile, p lush, scatter rugs.
MED: medium to longpile.
LOW: short to medium pile.
EX LO:very low pile.
PersonalInjury Hazard
DO NOT place hands or feet underneath the unit
when changing from the bare floor settlng to the
carpet pile height setting. The brush assembly
begins to revolve rapidly when the vacuum is
turned on and is switched to a carpet height setting.

To select the bare floor seffing:
Turnoff the cleaner.
Slide the heightadjustmentlever to the bare floor
setting.
NOTE: Self-Propel DRIVE will n ot work when "BARE
FLOOR" setting i s selected.

Inthis position, the headlight is off and the
brushassembly does not revolve. T his setting
is recommended forcleaninghardwood and
tile floors.
