I Loading the Batteries
Batteries are required to operate the digital camera. At
first, load the batteries in the camera.
Compatible batteries
AA size alkaline batteries (4) or AA size NiMH
rechargeable batteries (4) (sold separately)
CAUTION
• Never use the following types of f
batteries as they could cause I
serious problems such as battery I Outer casing
fluid leakage or overheating: I fxR_
1. Batteries _,vith split or peeling I
outer casings
2. Comb nat ons of d fferent
types of batteries or new and used batteries together
• Do not use manganese, Ni-Cd or lithium batteries.
• Use the same brand and grade AA-size alkaline
batteries as those supplied with the camera.

While pressing the cover lock release
button, slide and open the battery cover.
_ CHECK
Check that the camera is turned off before opening the
battery cover
CAUTION
• Do not open the battery cover while the camera is on.
This could damage the Memory Card or ruin the image
files on the Memory Card.
• Do not apply force to the battery cover.
