Turning the Camera on and Off
Rotate the ON/OFF switch to ON to turn the camera
on,
Select OFF to turn the camera offi
%. Switching to PlaybackMode
Press the [] button to start playback. Press [] button
again or press the shutter button halfway to return to
shooting mode.

The camera will turn off automatically if no operations
are performed for tile length of time selected in the
AUTO POWEROFFmenu (_ 102).Toreactivatethe
camera after it has turned off automatically, turn the
0N/0FF switch to OFF and then back to ON.
BatteryLevel
Battery level is shown asfollows:
Indicator Description
NO ICON Batteriesare partially discharged.
(red) Batteries are low. Replace as soon as
possible.
(blinks red) Batteries are exhausted. Turn camera _"_'_
off and rep ace batteries.
A battery warning may not be displayed before the
camera turns off, particularly if batteries are reused
after having once been exhausted. Power consump-
tion varies greatly from mode to mode; the low bat-
tery warning (_1:_:1) may not be displayed or may be
d_splayed only br_eny before the camera turns off_n
some modes or when switching from shooting to
playback mode.
