AIR FILTER
Yourengine witl not run properlyand may
be damagedby usinga dirtyair filter.
Replacethe air filter every year or after
every 100 hours of operation,more often
ifyou mow in very dusty,dirtyconditions.
Do not wash air filter.
TO CLEAN AIR FILTER
1, Loosen screw and tilt cover to remove.
2. Carefufiy remove cartridge.
3. Clean by gently tapping on a flat
surface. If very dirty, replace cartridge.
_,CAUTION:
Petroleum solvents, such as
kerosene, are not to be used to clean
cartridge. They may cause deterioration of
the cartridge. Do not oil cartridge. Do not
use pressurized air to clean or dry
cartridge.
4. Install cartridge, then replace cover
making sure the tabs are aligned with
the slots in the back plate. Fasten
screw securely.

SPARK PLUG
Replace spark plug at the beginningof
each mowingseason or after every 100
hours of operation,which ever occurs

CLEANING
IMPORTANT: For bestperformance,
keep mower housingfree of built-up
grass and trash. Clean the undersideof
your mower after each use.
_I_,CAUTION: Disconnectspark plugwire
from spark plug and place wire where it
cannotcome in contactwith the spark
plug.
• Clean the undersideof your lawn
mower by scrapingto removebuild-up
of grassand trash.
• Clean engine often to keep trash from
accumulating.A cloggedengine runs
hotterand shortensengine life.
• Keep finished surfaces and wheels free
of all gasoline,oil,etc.
• We do not recommendusinga garden
hose to clean lawn mower unlessthe
electricalsystem,muffler,air filter and
carburetorare coveredto keep water
out.Water in enginecan resultin
shortenedengine life.
CLEAN UNDER DRIVE COVER
Clean under drive cover at least twice a
season. Scrape underside of cover with
putty knife or similar tool to remove any
build-up of trash or grass on underside of
drive cover.
