Pour out the contents
of the reservoir
and wash out or clean as required.
9.
Dispose
of all the old coolant
properly,
according
to local
regulations.
10.Reinstall
the reservoir,
engaging
the
molded
protrusions
in the mounting
holes of the support
brackets.
Hold in
this position
and tighten
the upper
bracket
screws
securely.
11 .Check
the condition
of cooling
system
hoses,
clamps
and associated
components.
Replace
as required.
12.Mix
equal parts of ethylene
glycol anti-
freeze and distilled
water.
For approxi-
mate engine
coolant
capacity,
see
"PRODUCT
SPECIFICATIONS"
in the
front of this manual.
13.Fill the cooling
system
through
the
neck for radiator
cap with the coolant
mixture.
Allow coolant
to drain into the
lower areas of engine.
Fill the
overflow
reservoir
to a level between
the "MAX" and "MIN" level marks.
Reinstall
the radiator
and reservoir
caps.
14.Reinstall
the upper blower
housing
and screen
assembly.
15.Start
and run the engine for five
minutes.
Stop the engine
and allow it
to cool.
16. Remove
the upper blower
housing
and recheck
the coolant
level. Add
coolant
to reservoir
only if necessary.
17. Reinstall
the upper blower
housing
and screen
assembly.
Secure
with the
retaining
straps.
MUFFLER
Inspect
and replace
corroded
muffler
and
spark arrester
(if equipped)
as it could
create
a fire hazard
and/or damage.
SPARK
PLUGS
Replace
spark plugs at the beginning
of
each mowing
season
or after every 100
hours of operation,
whichever
occurs first.
Spark
plug type and gap setting
are
shown in "PRODUCT
SPECIFICATIONS"
section
of this manual.
IN-LINE
FUEL FILTER
The fuel filter should
be replaced
once
each season.
If fuel filter becomes
clogged,
obstructing
fuel flow to carbure-
tor, replacement
is required.
1. With engine cool, remove
filter and
plug fuel line sections.
2. Place
new fuel filter in position
in fuel
line with arrow
pointing
towards
carburetor.
3.
Be sure there are no fuel line leaks
and clamps
are properly
positioned.
4.
Immediately
wipe up any spilled
gasoline.

CLEANING
• Clean engine,
battery, seat, finish, etc.
of all foreign matter.
• Keep finished
surfaces
and wheels
free
of all gasoline,
oil, etc.
• Protect
painted
surfaces
with automo-
tive type wax.
We do not recommend
using a garden
hose to clean your tractor
unless the
electrical
system,
muffler, air _ter
and
carburetor
are covered
to keep water out.
Water
in engine
can result in a shortened
engine
life.
