rest on top of cutter
and depth

File stroke

to outside

cutter
or away

yourself.

SUGGESTIONS
FOR
OBTAINING
SHARP
CUTTING
EDGES
1. Normal_
sharpening
is accomplished
by
the
built-in
sharpener.
2. File
cutters
only
when
dull
and attempt
to keep
all
cutters
the
same [ength.
The
side plates
should always
be kept
approximately
1/32
of an inch
longer
than
the.
top piate.
3. Preserve the original filing angles carefully
and uniformly.
4. Care should be taken
never to file into the bottom
of the
top
plate.
Keep
guide lines
on file guide aligned
with
chain and guide bar(Figure
24).
