Single
frame
(the
camera takes one photograph
each time
the shutter-release
button
is pressed),
Continuous
(the camera records
photos
at up to 5 frames
per second
while
the
shutter
release button
is held down), and
Electronic
(Hi) (the camera records pho-
tos at high rates while the shutter-release
button
is held down).

Electronic(Hi)
Choose
from frame rates of 10 fps, 30 fps, and 60 fps (_ 103). The flash
does not fire while
Electronic
(Hi) is in effect.
At the default
setting
of
10 fps, the camera takes pictures
at about
10 frames
per second (fps)
while
the shutter-release
button
is pressed
and camera
focuses
on the
subject in the center
of the frame; face detection
(_
23) is not available.
At frame rates of 30 and 60 fps, face detection
is available
but focus and
exposure
are fixed at the values for the first photograph
in each series.

Continuous
If the flash is used, the camera will take only one photograph
each time
the shutter-release
button
is pressed. Lower the flash before taking
pic-
tures.

Shooting in Electronic(Hi) and Continuous ReleaseModes
While photographs
are being
recorded
to the memory
card, the access
lamp will light.
Depending
on shooting
conditions
and memory
card
write
speed, recording
may take up to about
one minute.
If the battery
is exhausted
before
all photographs
are recorded,
the shutter
release
will be disabled
and the remaining
images transferred
to the memor
card.
