Shutter Speed and Aperture The same exposure can be achieved with different combinations shutter speed and aperture. Fast shutter speeds and large apertures freeze moving objects and soften background details, while slow shut- ter speeds small apertures blur moving objects and bring background details.

P Programmed Auto In this mode, the camera automatically adjusts shutter speed and aperture for optimal exposure in most situations. This mode is recommended for snapshots and other situations in which you want to leave the camera in charge of shutter speed and aperture.

SShutter-Priority Auto In shutter-priority auto, you choose the shutter speed while the camera automatically selects the aperture that will produce optimal exposure.
