Shooting in the Scene Mode Selected by the Camera
(Scene Auto Selector)
By simply framing a picture, the camera automatically selects the optimum scene
mode for simpler shooting.
When a picture is framed in _ (Scene auto selector) scene mode, the camera
automatically adjusts settings for one of the following scene modes:
• Auto (general shooting) • Portrait ([_ 53) • Landscape([:_ 53)
• Night portrait ([:_ 54) • Night landscape ([_ 56) • Close up ([_ 56)
• Backlight ([_ 58)
1 Press the a button in shooting
mode to display the shooting-mode
selection menu and use the multi
selector to select _ (Scene auto
selector) scene mode ([:_ 50).
Tile camera enters scene auto sdector
mode.

Frame the subject and takea picture. _ : : 7
When the cameraautomatically selectsa scenemode,
the shooting mode icon changesto that for the scene
mode currently enabled.

Iras: Landscape _: Backlight
I_: Night portrait
Press the shutter-releasebutton halfwayto setfocus and exposure.When the subject is
in focus,the active focus area glows green.
Press the shutter-releasebutton the rest of the way down to take the picture.
