ThisVCR isdesignedto correspondto the standardcable
system.However,the cable TV servicesmayvaryfrom area
to area. Yourlocalcable TV companymay adopt eitherthe
HRC or IRC cable system.ThisVCR is capableof receiving
eitherof thesecable systemsin the bestcondition.
1) HRC (Harmonic Related Carriers)
All channels except for 5 and 6 are 1250 kHz lower than
the standard cable system. Channels 5 and 6 are 750
kHz higher than the standard cable system.
21) IRC (Incremental Related Carriers)
Allchannelsexceptfor 5 and 6 are the same as the
standardcable system.Channels5 and 6 are 2000 kHz
higherthan the standardcable system.
FINE TUNING indicator for receiving HRC or IRC cable
systems
Even when the signals are received in optimal condition, the
FINE TUNING indicator will not stay at the center position for
channels higher or lower than the standard cable system
due to the difference in the frequency.
NOTE:
Many cable TV systems use scrambled or encoded
signals for some channels. You may require a cable box
to receive some or all channels.
