CALiFORNiA EMiSSiON CONTROL WARRANTY STATEMENT
YOUR WARRANTY RIGHTS AND OBLiGATiONS
The CaliforniaAir ResourcesBoardand Cub CadetLLCare pleasedto explainthe evaporativeemissioncontrol systemwarrantyon your2006 lawnmower.In
California,new lawnmower mustbe designed,built andequippedto meet the State'sstringentanti-smogstandards.Cub CadetLLCmustwarrantthe EECSon
your lawnmowerfor the periodof time listed belowprovidedthere has been no abuse, neglector impropermaintenanceof your lawnmower.
YourEECSmay includeparts such asthe carburetor,fuel-injectionsystem,the ignitionsystem,catalyticconverter,fuel tanks,fuel lines,fuel caps, valves,
canisters,filters,vapor hoses,clamps,connectors,and otherassociatedemission-related components.
Where a warrantable condition exists, Cub Cadet LLCwill repair your lawn mower at no cost toyou includingdiagnosis, partsand labor.
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY COVERAGE:
This evaporativeemissioncontrol systemis warrantedfor two years. If any evaporativeemission-related part on yourequipmentis defective,the partwill be
repairedor replacedby Cub CadetLLC.
OWNER'S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Asthe lawnmower owner,you are responsiblefor performanceof the requiredmaintenancelistedin yourowner'smanual. CubCadet LLCrecommendsthat you
retain all receiptscoveringmaintenance on your lawnmower,but CubCadetLLC cannotdeny warrantysolelyfor the lackof receipts.
Asthe lawnmower owner,you should howeverbe awarethat Cub CadetLLCmay denyyou warrantycoverageif your lawn moweror a part hasfailed dueto
abuse, neglect,or impropermaintenanceor unapprovedmodifications.
Youare responsible for presentingyour lawnmowerto Cub CadetLLC's distributioncenteror servicecenteras soonas the problemexists. The warrantyrepairs
shouldbe completedina reasonableamountof time_not to exceed30 days. If you havea questionregardingyour warrantycoverage,you shouldcontact your
localCub Cadetdealer.To reachthe Cub CadetCustomerDealerReferralLine, pleasecall (877) 282-8684.
GENERAL EMISSIONS WARRANTY COVERAGE:
CubCadet LLCwarrantsto the ultimatepurchaserand eachsubsequentpurchaserthat the lawnmoweris: Designed,built andequippedso as to conformwith all
applicableregulations;andfree from defectsin materialsand workmanshipthat causethe failure of a warrantedpartto be identicalin all materialrespectsto that
part as describedin CubCadetLLC'sapplicationfor certification.
The warrantyperiodbeginson the date the lawnmower isdeliveredto an ultimatepurchaseror first placedinto service.The warrantyperiodis two years.
Subjectto certain conditions andexclusionsas stated below,the warrantyon emission-related parts is as follows:
1. Any warrantedpart that is not scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenanceinthe writteninstructionssupplied, is warrantedfor the warranty period
statedabove. If the partfails duringthe periodof warrantycoverage,the part will be repairedor replacedby CubCadetLLC accordingto subsection(4) below.
Any such part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill be warrantedforthe remainderof the period.
2. Anywarrantedpart that is scheduledonly for regular inspectioninthe writteninstructionssupplied is warrantedfor the warranty periodstated above.Any such
part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill be warrantedfor the remainingwarranty period.
3. Anywarrantedpart that is scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenancein the writteninstructionssuppliedis warrantedfor the periodof time beforethe
first scheduledreplacementdate for that part. If the part failsbeforethe first scheduledreplacement,the part will be repairedor replacedbyCub Cadet LLCac-
cordingto subsection(4) below.Any such part repairedor replacedunderwarrantywill be warrantedforthe remainderof the periodpriorto the first scheduled
replacementpointfor the part.
4. Repairor replacementof any warrantedpart underthe warrantyprovisionshereinmustbe performedat a warrantystationat no chargeto the owner.
5. Notwithstanding the provisionsherein,warrantyservicesor repairswill be providedat all of our distributioncentersthat arefranchisedto servicethe subject
enginesor equipment.
6. The lawnmower ownerwill not be chargedfor diagnosticlabor that is directlyassociatedwith diagnosisof a defectke,emission-related warrantedpart,
providedthat such diagnosticwork is performedat a warrantystation.
7. Cub CadetLLC is liablefor damagesto otherengine or equipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedby afailure under warrantyof any warrantedpart.
8. Throughoutthe lawnmowerwarranty periodstated above,Cub CadetLLCwill maintaina supply of warrantedparts sufficientto meetthe expecteddemandfor
such parts.
9. Any replacementpart may be usedinthe performanceof any warrantymaintenance or repairsand mustbe providedwithoutchargeto the owner.Suchuse will
not reducethe warrantyobligationsof Cub CadetLLC.
10. Add-onor modifiedpartsthat are not exemptedby the Air ResourcesBoardmay not be used.The use of any non-exempted add-on or modifiedpartsby the
ultimatepurchaserwill be groundsfor disallowinga warrantyclaims. CubCadetLLC will not be liableto warrantfailuresof warrantedpartscaused bythe use
of a non-exemptedadd-on or modifiedpart.
WARRANTED PARTS:
The repairor replacementof any warrantedpart otherwiseeligiblefor warrantycoveragemay be excludedfrom such warrantycoverageif Cub CadetLLC
demonstratesthat the lawnmower has beenabused,neglected,or improperlymaintained,and that such abuse,neglect,or impropermaintenance wasthe direct
causeof the needfor repairor replacementof the part. That notwithstanding, a ny adjustmentof a componentthat has a factory installed,andproperly operating,
adjustmentlimitingdevice is still eligiblefor warrantycoverage.The followingemissionwarrantyparts list are covered(useportionsof this list applicableto your
lawnmower):
