Chapter 4: Installing the Software VideoImpression We recommend you to install Windows Media Player 9 or later when you play back the video clip on the computer. If you use Windows XP, you also have to upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 2(SP2). If you use Win- dows Vista, you might need MPEG4 codec. LaunchVideoImpressionandthen select“add”. Select“DCIM”todownloadthevideo clipsfromthecamera. Double-clicktoselectthevideoclips. Click “Play” to play the video clips.

Uploading to a Computer ConnectthelargerendoftheUSB cabletotheUSBslotonyour computer. A ndconnectthesmallerend oftheUSBcabletotheUSBconnector onthecamera. Thecomputerautomaticallydetectsthe cameraasamassstoragedeviceso you can copy image files from your camera to your computer’s hard drive.
Chapter 5: Uploading, Printing & Displaying Images Printing Images Therearethreeprintingmethodsyoucanusetoprintoutselected images. This camera supports direct printing, Digital Print Order Format (DPOF), and PictBridge. Direct printing allows you to print out images by connecting the camera directly to some specific printers to print your favorite images. Both DPOF and PictBridge printing function need a printerthatsupportsthesefunctions. •Printing with DPOF and PictBridge compatible printers The camera’s DPOF feature allows you to specify which images you wanttoprintandhowmanycopiesofeachyouwant. A fteryouspecify yourprintingpreferenceonthecamera,thenyoucanremovethe memorycardfromthecameraandplugintoaprinterthatsupports DPOF, or connect the camera through the USB cable to a PictBridge compatible printer for printing. Displaying Images on a TV ByconnectingyourcameratoaTV,youcanviewimagesasaslideshow andplayvideoclips. SelectacompatibleTVsystemin “SETUP” menu. Connectthe A /V(Audio/Video)cable tothe A /VinputsoftheTV,andconnect the A /Vcabletothe A /Vconnectorof thecamera. Note 1: When you connect your camera to a TV, the LCD monitor turns off automatically.
