FUEL S YSTEM
Empty the fuel s ystem b efore storage
for30days o rlonger. Drain t hegas
tank, start the engine and letitrun un-
tilthe fuel l ines a nd carburetor
are
empty. Use fresh f uel n ext season.

Fuel stabilizer isanacceptable
alter-
native inminimizing
the formation
of
fuel g um deposits during storage. Add
stabilizer tothe gasoline inthe fuel
tank orfuel s torage container.
Follow
the mix instructions
found o nstabilizer
container.
Run engine atleast 3min-
utes a fter a dding stabilizer.
Craftsman
40:1,2-cycle
engine oil(air
cooled) isalready blended with fuel
stabilizer.
Ifyou donot u se this Sears
oil, y ou can add afuel s tabilizer
to
your f uel tank.
ENGINE
• Remove spark p lug a nd pour 1 tea-
spoon o f40:1,2-cycle
engine oil(air
cooled) through the spark p lug
opening. Slowly pull t he starter rope
8to10times t odistribute
oil.
• Replace spark p lug with new one of
recommended
type and heat r ange.
• Clean a irfilter.
• Check entire u nit f orloose s crews,
nuts, and bolts. Replace any dam-
aged, broken, orworn p arts.
• Atthe beginning
ofthenext season,
use only f resh f uel h aving the proper
gasoline tooil r atio.
OTHER
• Donot s tore g asoline from one sea-
son toanother.
• Replace your g asoline can ifitstarts
torust.
