FUEL S YSTEM
Empty the fuel s ystem b efore storage
for30days o rlonger. Drain t hegas
tank, start the engine and letitrun until
the fuel l ines a nd carburetor
areempty.
Use fresh f uel n ext season.

Fuel stabilizer isanacceptable
alter-
native inminimizing
the formation
of
fuel g um deposits during storage. Add
stabilizer tothe gasoline inthe fuel
tank orfuel s torage container.
Follow t hemix instructions
found o n
stabilizer containers.
Run engine at
least 3minutes after a dding stabilizer.
Craftsman
40:1,2-cycle
engine oil(air
cooled) isblended with fuel s tabilizer.
If
you donot u se this oil, y ou can add a
fuel s tabilizer toyour fuel t ank.
ENGINE
• Remove spark p lug and pour 1 tea-
spoon o f40:1,2-cycle
engine oil(air
cooled) through the spark p lug open-
ing. S lowly pull the starter rope 8to
10times t odistribute
oil.
• Replace spark p lug with new one of
recommended
type and heat range.
• Clean airfilter.
• Check entire u nit f orloose s crews,
nuts, and bolts. Replace any dam-
aged, broken, orworn parts.
• Atthebeginning
ofthe next season,
use only f resh f uel h aving the proper
gasoline tooilratio.
OTHER
• Do not s tore g asoline from one sea-
son toanother.
• Replace your g asoline can ifitstarts
torust.
TROUBLESHOOTING
