- Page 16 Mounting Figure 9 ONLY mount the air filter unit to joists, wall studs, or table that can hold at least 100 lbs. DO NOT mount the unit only to sheet rock, pressboard, paneling, or honeycomb wall panels with expansion-type fasteners. The fasteners can tear out and the air filter can fall.
- Page 17 To mount the air filter to a ceiling: Figure 9 or 10 Tip: Try to keep the hole placement even on the cleats so that the weight of the hanging air cleaner is evenly distributed. Note: The 2X4’s are cut a little longer than the air filter/joists to guard against splitting the ends when fasteners are driven through them.
