Symptom
The back light flashes in
orange.
AIBO does not chase the
supplied ball.
The back light does not
turn off when you press
the pause button to make
AIBO pause.
AIBO soon asks for
charging even with a
fully charged battery
pack.
No musical tone is
emitted from AIBO.
Cause/Remedy
There may be a problem with the battery pack.
c Check that the battery pack is inserted
correctly. If the flashing of the back light
persists, contact AIBO Customer Link (page
8).
When no AIBO-ware "Memory Stick" is
inserted, AIBO responds to the ball, but does not
chase it.
The internal application may not be terminated
normally.
c Remove the battery pack (page 36). Re-insert
the battery pack and press the pause button
again. If the BATT Z latch is inoperable, use
the emergency release hole (page 19).
When the battery pack's operating time has
become noticeably short, it may have reached its
end of life. Replace it with a new battery pack.
AIBO's musical tone is muted.
c Adjust the volume level (page 39).
