Release control bar and stop engine.
Make sure the blade and all moving parts have completely stopped_
o
Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place where it cannot come in contact with plug._
LAWN MOWER
TO ADJUST
HANDLE
(See Fig. 15)
The handle on your lawn mower has three (3) height
positions - adjust to height that suits you.

Remove knob and carriage bolt on one side of the lower
handle..
o
While holding handle assembly,
remove knob and
carriage bolt from opposite side, align hole in handle
with desired hole in handle bracket and reassemble
bolt and knob and tighten securely.
Align opposite side of handle with same positioning
hole and secure with bolt and knob.
REAR
DEFLECTOR
The rear deflector, attached be'rween the rear wheels of
your lawn mower, is provided to minimize the possibility
that objects will be thrown out of the rear of the lawn rnower
into the operator's mowing position_
If the rear deflector becomes damaged, it should be re-
placed°

ENGINE SPEED
Your engine speed has been factory set_ Do not attempt to
increase engine speed or itmay result in personal ff_jury. If
you believe that your engine is running too fast or too slow,
take your lawn mower to an authorized service center for
repair and!or adjustment.
CARBURETOR
Your carburetor has a non-adjustable
fixed main jet for
mixture control.
If your engine does not operate properly
clue to suspected carburetor problems,
take your lawn
mower to an authorized service center for repair and/or
adjustment.
