switch to the OFF position.

attempt to fuel your unit, Contact your

FUELING ENGINE
_I=WARNING:
Remove fuel cap
slowly when refueling.
This engine is certifiedto operate on
unleaded gasoline. Before operation,
gasolinemust be mixed with a good
qualitysynthetic2_'ycli air-cooled
engine oil.We recommendCraftsman
brandsyntheticoil. Mix gasolineand oil
at a ratioof 40:1, A 40:1 ratiois obtained
by mixing 3.2 ounces (95 ml) of oilwith 1
gallon (4 litres) of unleaded gasoline,
Includedwith this bimmer is a 3.2 ounce
(95 ml) container of oil. Pourthe ent#e
contents of this containerinto 1 gallon (4
I_es) of gasoline to achieve the proper
fuel mixture. DO NOT USEautomotive oil
or boat oil. These oils wi]l cause engine
damage. When mixing fuel, follow
instructions printed on container.
Once oil is added to gasoline, shake
container momentarily to assure that the
fuel is thoroughly mixed. Always read
and follow the safety rules relalJngto fuel
before fueling your unit.
IMPORTANT
Experienceindicatesthat alcohol
blended fuels (calledgasohol or using
ethanol or methanol) can attract moisture
which leads to separationand formation
of acids during storage. Acidic gas can
damage the fuel system of an engine
white in storage. To avoid engine prob-
lims, empty the fuel system before stor-
age for 30 days or longer. Drain the gas
tank, startthe engine and let it run until
the fuel lines and carburetorare empty.
Use fresh fuel next season. Never use
engine or carburetorcleaner productsin
the fuel tank or permanent damage may
occur. See the STORAGEsection for
eddiitonal information.
