  • Page 11 Partitioning your HD 5. Click with the right mouse button on the "unallocated" area and select the option "New Partition". The "New Partition Wizard" opens. Click on "Next".

Choose either "FAT32" or "NTFS", the "Allocation unit size" should remain on "Default". Finally select "Perform a quick format" and click on "Next". 10. Click on "Finish" to complete the partitioning of your hard drive. Your hard drive will be formatted now and is ready-to-use afterwards.

    Please check the hard drive, and format it if it is a new one. If using eSATA to transfer,please check whether your motherboard supports hot swap. If not, connect the Freecom HD Dock Quattro to the eSATA port on computer before starting it.
