Alternate Line Service

If you are an Alternate Line customer, you will be given a unique phone
number for each line. With alternate lines, you can separate business
and personal calls, or designate one as a "priority line."
Line 2 shares the Voice Mail box with Line 1; there is only one
monthly charge.
You cannot forward Line 2 to Line 1 and have the phone ring; the
call defaults to Voice Mail.
Text and Numeric Paging is not available on Line 2.
The following settings are independent for each phone line. When you
enable a setting, it applies only to the active line.
Ringer Volume, Selectable Ring Styles, Call Forwarding numbers,
One-Minute Beep, Display Timer, Reset Timer and Total Timer.
Selecting an Alternate Line
Press M until you see the alternate
1
"Line1". (If you are already using Line 1,
"Line2" will appear as an option).
Press P under "Line1" to select Line 1; or, press P under
2
"Line2" to select Line 2, whichever is applicable.
Receiving Calls on Your Alternate Line
You can receive calls on either line, regardless of the active line setting.
If the call is on the same line as the currently active line, the Active
Line Indicator simply flashes.
If the call is on the line that is not currently active, the Active Line
Indicator remains lit and the other line number icon flashes.
