Watching Picture-in-Picture
• This TV is capable of displaying two pictures simultaneously. This is called the Picture-
in-Picture function. A TV broadcast picture, or a picture from an external source such as
a VCR, can be displayed as a small picture.
Note:
Signal sources input through the ANT-2
and COLOR STREAM terminals cannot be
displayed as a small picture.
Also, when the main picture source is
"COLOR STREAM", PIP is not available.

To display
a 73/broadcast
picture
as a small picture
Turn on the "IV and select the desired
program.
Small picture

Press PIP once to display a small picture.
The 1/9 size window picture will appear.
If you press PIP again, the 1/16 size
window picture will appear.

Press PIPCH
• or • to select the
desired program for the small picture.
To turn off the small picture, press PIP
again.
To display
a picture
from an external
source as a small picture
Connect the external source equipment for the small picture.
(For connections, see pages 53 - 57.)
Turn on the TV, and select the desired
program.
Press PIP to display a small picture.

Press SOURCE repeatedly to select the
input source (iV, VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2, or
VIDEO 3) for the small picture.
The selected mode will be displayed in
purple.
