Understanding built-in CD player
error messages (Only AVH-
P6400CD)
When problems occur during CD play an error
message may appear on the display. If an error
message appears on the display refer to the
table below to see what the problem is and the
suggested method of correcting the problem. If
the error cannot be corrected, contact your
dealer or your nearest Pioneer Service Center.

Using the Display Correctly

• If moisture or foreign matter should get
inside the product, turn OFF the power imme-
diately and consult your dealer or the nearest

Handling the Display

• When the display is subjected to direct sun-
light for a long period of time, it will become
very hot resulting in possible damage to the
LCD screen. When not using this product, close
the display and avoid exposing it to direct sun-
light as much as possible.
• The display should be used within the temper-
ature ranges shown below.
Operating temperature range: –10 to +50 °C
Storage temperature range: –20 to +80 °C
At temperatures higher or lower than the oper-
ating temperature range the display may not
operate normally.
• The LCD screen of this product is exposed in
order to increase its visibility within the vehicle.
