crossover controls �llow for precise m�tching

Drivers �n�� c�binet
construction
On the ������� the low frequencies �re

Crossover filters

�he �ctive crossover network consists of
three p�r�llel b�n��p�ss filters. �he crosso-
ver frequencies �re 4�0 �z �n�� �.0 k�z on
the ������� �n�� 4�0 �z �n�� �.� k�z on the
�������. B�ss, mi��r�nge �n�� treble level
controls with � ��B steps �re inclu��e�� in the
crossover to obt�in uniform frequency b�l-
�nce in ��ifferent �coustic con��itions. �he low
frequency �ilt �n�� Roll-Off controls both h�ve
four � ��B steps to �llow refine�� low frequency
response t�iloring. �he crossover network is
��riven by �n �ctive b�l�nce�� input st�ge, fe��
by � � pin XLR connector. V�ri�ble input sen-
sitivity �llows for �ccur�te level m�tching to
the sign�l source output.

v�lues �n�� incorpor�te speci�l circuitry for
��river overlo��� protection �n�� �mplifier ther-
m�l protection.
Inst�ll�tion
E�ch lou��spe�ker is supplie�� with �n inte-
gr�te�� �mplifier unit, � m�ins c�ble �n�� �n
oper�ting m�nu�l. Once unp�cke�� pl�ce the
lou��spe�ker in its require�� listening position,
t�king note of the line of the �coustic�l �xis
(see Figure �).
Sufficient cooling for the �mplifier must
be ensure��. �he minimum cle�r�nce for the
�mplifier is �0 centimeters (4") to �ny object.
�he sp�ce ���j�cent to the �mplifier must
either be ventil�te�� or sufficiently l�rge to
��issip�te he�t so th�t the �mbient temper�-
ture ��oes not rise �bove �� ��egrees Celsius
(9�°F). If the lou��spe�ker is flush mounte��
into the w�ll structure, the �mplifier c�n be
pl�ce�� sep�r�tely into �n equipment r�ck
using �n option�l r�ck mount kit (see sec-
tions 'Flush mounting' �n�� '��ccessories').
Before connecting up, ensure th�t the
m�ins switch is off (see Figure �). Check th�t
the m�ins volt�ge selector is correctly set to
