The green LEDs light up under normal working conditions; the yellow LEDs will be illuminated when an excessive overvoltage or overloading occurs.

Most fan headers possess a foolproof insertion design. When connecting a fan cable, be sure to connect it in the correct orientation (the black connector wire is the ground wire).

Before connecting a floppy disk drive, be sure to locate pin 1 of the connector and the floppy disk drive cable.

Each SATA connector supports a single SATA device. The P55 Chipset supports RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 and RAID 10. Refer to Chapter 5, "Configuring SATA Hard Drive(s)," for instructions on configuring a RAID array.
